The SSO is holding auditions on Saturday September 11 for the following seats:
principal oboe
principal bass
principal viola
first violin
trumpet 3
as well as for our sub list.

Dinner After The Show!

Join us for “Dinners We Love” after each concert at the Glen Sanders Mansion. These lovely prix-fixe dinners are held in the Mohawk Room (access by stairs only) with seating limited to first 70 paid reservations. Each evening offers three entrée choices and will be accompanied by an appropriate appetizer, vegetables and dessert, coffee or tea (tip is also included).

These dinners are an opportunity to meet other fans of music and fine food – and although subscribers have the first opportunity to reserve their seats, the remaining seats will be available on a first-come, first-served basis, at the modest price of $37.00 per person. 10/3/10:

First Course: Chop Salad- Chopped Iceberg, roma Tomato, Cucumber, Red Onion, Ripe Avocado, Crumbled Gorgonzola, Crispy Onions, White Balsamic Vinaigrette.

Entrees: Choice of:

Chicken Milanese- Breaded Chicken Cutlet, Fresh Tomatoes, Arugula, Balsamic Glaze, Lemon Scented Risotto and Sugar Snap Peas

Sliced Bistro Sirloin- Whole Roasted with Garlic Mashed Potatoes and sugar Snap Peas

Butternut Squash Ravioli- Tossed with Diced Butternut Squash, Sauteed with Juilienne Peppers and Onions in a Sage Brown Butter

Dessert: Tiramisu- Cocoa Dust, Fresh Berries



1/16/11:

First Course: Winter Salad- Baby Spinach, Romaine and Red Leaf Lettuces, Sliced Red Onion, Pumpkin Bread Croutons, Pears, Goat Cheese, Balsamic Vinaigrette

Entrees: Choice of

Chicken Coq Au Vin- Roasted Garlic Gravy, Roasted Carrots Accented with Sage, Country Smashed Potatoes

Cowboy Style Pork Loin- Marinated Grilled Pork Rack Chop, Smothered Cabbage, Country Smashed Potatoes, Rosemary Port Demi Glaze

Mushroom Tart- Mushroom and Leek Custard, Truffle Essence, Field Greens and Porcini Oil

Dessert: Apple Berry Tart, Served Warm with Vanilla Ice Cream



3/6/11:

First Course: Tuscan White Bean and Sausage Soup with Baby Spinach

Entrees: Choice of:

Chicken Scallopini- Egg Battered Chicken Breast, Potato Ravioli, Carmelized Leeks, Peas, Fresh Tomato Relish

NY Strip Steak- 12 ounce New York Strip, Truffle Scented Mashed Potatoes, Charred Asparagus, Wild Mushroom Au Jus

Ricotta Gnocchi- Pan Crisped Wilted Escarole, Parmesan Crumbs

Dessert: Day and Night Mousse Tort on Painted Plate



4/3/11:

First Course: Arugula and Spring Mix Salad, Red Onion, Tomato and White Balsamic Vinaigrette

Entrees: Choice of:

Sauteed Lemon Chicken- Potato Chive Ravioli, Caramelized Fennel, Wilted Spinach

Sliced Bistro Sirloin- Whole Roasted with Garlic Mashed Potatoes and sugar Snap Peas

Rigatoni, Butternut Squash, Soft Cinnamon Mascarpone, Sag Butter Broth, Shaved Manchego

Dessert: Strawberry Shortcake with Lemon Curd



All menus of course come with rolls and butter, coffee service for the modest price of $37.00 per person.
