Schenectady Symphony board member Peggy King modeling an outfit from Casual Set in Stuyvesant Plaza at the 57th Symphony of Fashion, presented by the League of the Schenectady Symphony Orchestra at the Glen Sanders Mansion in Scotia. The fashion show and luncheon is the biggest yearly fundraiser for the Schenectady Symphony which is supported solely by volunteers.
Co-chairs Marie Gorman and Ann Phaup-Phillips led a team of committed volunteers to create a beautiful event, featuring time to browse silent auction items ranging from children’s activities and fine housewares to jewelry, entertainment and travel options during a coffee hour, followed by the main event.
With commentary by Debbie DeLuke, the models showcased versatile and elegant fashions from Casual Set of Stuyvesant Plaza. A delicious lunch followed the show, and patrons had the chance to peruse and purchase featured items. In addition to the silent auction, which wrapped up just after dessert was served, a series of benefit raffles of services and merchandise distributed favors among twenty lucky guests.
The Fashion Show and Luncheon is a significant source of funding for the League, which in turn contributes its resources to the Schenectady Symphony. Many thanks to all the women who worked all year long to make this event possible and created another successful day!
