Schenectady Symphony Poinsettia Pops Virtual Concert

The Schenectady Symphony Orchestra is Back “Virtually”!

The Schenectady Symphony is excited to announce our very first streaming virtual concert! Poinsettia Pops will feature holiday music especially selected by Artistic Director, Glen Cortese.  We will also welcome Guest Vocalist, Jean Leonard.

The concert will be pre-recorded on the mainstage at Proctors and will include such holiday standards as “Sleigh Ride” and “Little Drummer Boy”, classical selections from “The Nutcracker” and Gustav Holst, and a not-so-holiday, but fanciful rendition of “Puttin’ on the Ritz”. The variety of selections are sure to please all and will make a terrific tree-trimming or holiday gathering accompaniment.

Tickets to Poinsettia Pops will be available at Proctors box office, either online at www.Proctors.org or by calling 518-346-6204 starting Tuesday December 1st.  Once you purchase an electronic “ticket”, you will be given access to the virtual concert which will be available from December 15th to December 25th.  Tickets will allow you to watch the concert as many times as you wish.

We hope you enjoy this special holiday treat from your friends at the Schenectady Symphony!
