wineglassJoin us for an epicurean extravaganza in which our guests enjoy a menu created by Chef Tom Alicandro of the Schenectady County Community College Culinary Institute and the artistry of Schenectady Symphony musicians, all selected to complement each other in a harmonious blend of wine, music and food.

Tasting Notes is an event to support the Schenectady Symphony Orchestra a nonprofit organization.

Tickets will not be mailed, once you complete the credit card information

your reservation will be confirmed and you will be able to check in at the event.

Sparkling  Reception at the Gathering Table

Begin with an array of small plates of French cheeses, pates, breads and fruits

Sparkling Water

Wine Selection: Saraceni Brut Prosecco and Splendia Fragolino

Accompanied by Harp selections played by Karlinda Caldecott

Appetizer:

Baked herb encrusted chevre with black current compote and toasted french bread.

Wine Selection:  Zind Humbrecht Riesling Clos Windpuhl Monopole 2014

Accompanied by Golliwog’s Cakewalk by Claude Debussy and selections from Carmen by George Bizet, played by the Women of Note

Salad:

Salad  Lyonaise

Frisee accompanied by crispy bacon, and warm poached egg finished with champagne vinaigrette

Fresh baked rolls and whipped butter.

Wine Selection: Michel Redde et Fils Puilly-Fume La Moynerie 201

Accompanied by Fanfare from La Peri by Paul Dukas and Trois Chansons by Claude Dub

Entree:

Wine Selection:  Chateau La Nerthe Chateauneuf-du-Pape Cuvee des Cadettes 2014
and also Chateau Leoville Payferre St. Julien 2014 (Bordeaux)

Tournedos of beef au poivre and served with sauce bernaise

or

Roast wild caught cod and served in a pool of lobster bisque and toasted baugette

Vegetarian Option – please reserve in advance

Vegetable Tarte – French Inspired vegetables sliced and baked in a tart shell and finished with a sauce of roasted tomatotes

All entrees served with truffle whipped potatoes and haricot vert

Entree accompanied by Pavane by Gabriel Faure and selections from the Quintet by Claude Arrieu

Dessert:

Chocolate, walnut and espresso tart accompanied with French vanilla ice cream

Wine Selection: Chateau Guiraud Petite Guiraud sauternes 2013

Accompanied by French Jazz selections by the Steven Lambert Ensemble

    artwork : photography, watercolors, oils and prints

And wine raffles – where you can win a $100 bottle of wine for only $5.

It’s a lively, entertaining evening, full of wonderful music and spirited conversation.
